How many types of Multiparking Systems are available?

Majorly Multiparking Systems are divided into 2 Types: Dependent & Independent Car Parking Systems.

Dependent Car Parking Systems:
G61-EV: Normal 2-Level Stack Parker
2062(Dependent): 2-Level Pit Stack Parker
3015: 3-Level Stack Parker
D63: 3-Level Stack Parker with Single dependency
Independent Car Parking Systems:
2062 (Independent): 2-Level Pit Stack Parker
G63: 3-Level Pit Stack Parker
P110/210/310/200: Puzzle Parking System
KOGP: Over the Ground Puzzle System with No Pit requirement

How much capacity is considered in Multiparking?

Klaus Multiparking Systems are designed for 2-ton & 2.5-ton cars The technical specifications are different for different capacity. They are designed as per the mutual discussions between Klaus & the customer.

Does Puzzle System operate on jigsaw type or rotational type of operation?

Puzzle system operates on hydraulic engineering.

Is Single Entry-Single Exit operation possible in Puzzle System?

Multiple entry points are available based on the design matrix..

How much footprint is required for your systems?

Klaus does consultative selling. As per usage and requirement, the Klaus Team would suggest appropriate solutions based on layouts provided by you to ensure optimal parking spaces and value for money proposition.

Standard Dimensions:
For Stack Type: 2200 mm wide usable platform will need 2500 mm outer dimensions of the system
For Puzzle Type: 2200 mm wide usable platform will need 2500 mm per Grid. Max. 10 Grid possible.
For KOGP Type: Depends upon the design. Kindly consult the Klaus Team for the same.

What is the Minimum Drive width required?

Klaus recommends 6 mtr. driveway.

What is the height requirement? Below Beam Bottom/ Slab Bottom?

There are THREE types of cars present in the market: Hatchback, Sedan, & SUV. Klaus systems are designed to accommodate standard cars as per below table:

Also, different systems require different heights. All height requirements are either clear heights, either Beam Bottom, or Slab Bottom. Pockets between beams can be considered if required dimensions are fulfilled. Please consult the Klaus Sales Team for various combinations of cars.

Can we install this system in open air/outside the building?

Mechanical parking systems involve mechanical as well as electrical components. If the system needs to be installed outside the building, covering is required. Our systems come with hydraulic power packs, control switches, etc. which need to be covered so as to avoid water, dust ingress.

What is the electrical consumption of the system?

Based on the following parameters, Klaus Sales representative can help with the calculation for the total connected load.

G61-EV: Dependent 2-Level Stack Parker: 1.5kW per Power Pack
2062: independent or Dependent 2-Level Pit Stack Parker: 3kW per Power Pack
G63: Independent 3-Level Pit Stack Parker: 3kW per Power Pack
3015/Trinity: Dependent 3 Level Stack Parker: 3kW per Power Pack
P110/210/310/200: Independent Puzzle Parking System: 3kW per unit
KOGP: The consumption will differ depending upon the number of levels

What is the operational cost for the system?
Approx. 20p per operation with Power Pack of 1.5kW
Approx. 40p per operation with Power Pack of 3kW
For KOGP it depends upon the number of levels and grids in the system

What work is needed under the Customer Scope?

Civil and Electrical work is required as per Klaus Multiparking Systems standards. E.g. Foundation, 3-Phase supply, finished flooring, electrical lighting, etc. Different types of systems will require different types of readiness work. Klaus Project Execution Team shares all details after site survey.

Is reverse parking allowed on the system?

Puzzle system operates on hydraulic engineering.

For G61-EV/2062/G63: Reverse Parking is not allowed

Can 2 or more Stack Parker Systems on single power pack be used simultaneously?

Such incidences are rare.
A system sharing single power pack recommends the use of the single system at a time. In Puzzle system, there is one operation at a time.

In how much time a service person can resolve a complaint?

The response time would be 2 hours* & turnaround time would depend on the nature of the failure. Business hours*

Is Valet/Person required for Multiparking System operation?

Parking System operation is very user-friendly, although children are not allowed to operate the system. The system needs to be operated by trained personnel only whether individual or valet. Hence, keeping a valet is purely the decision of the customer. Regular training programmes for end-users are organized by the Klaus Service Team.

How can a car be retrieved in case of system failure?

Contact Klaus Service Team on the phone numbers provided. Our technical team shall take care of the concern either over the phone or attend personally.

Is there any manual car rescue facility available?

Manual car rescue facility is available only for Klaus Service personnel to operate

What are the safety precautions in Multiparking? Do’s & Don’ts

Klaus Team demonstrates and shares Do’s & Don’ts of the system operation. Instructions are also placed beside the system for the users.

What if a person is still in the car parked in puzzle system and another person uses the same system?

It is advisable to get out from the car immediately once it is parked on the system. While operating the system, all cars in Equivalent to Ground (EG) position are visible

What if a person forgets to put the car in gear/handbrake?

It is mandatory to put on the handbrake, as it is necessary and a safety measure.

What is the retrieval time for the car?

Different systems take different retrieval time.

Is RCC block required for foundation?

A foundation block with reinforced concrete is recommended. M25 or above grade concrete is suggested.

Should the foundation level & flooring level be equal?

Yes! Foundation top and floor level need to match to avoid the gap between the parking platforms and the ground.

Do the tendon lines play any role while designing Multiparking systems?

Multiparking systems require supports. Hence, tendon line details are required for designing.

What is the rate of power consumption to park and retrieve 1 car?

Based on the basis of electricity consumed –

10 – 12 cycles for a puzzle parker in 1 kWh
15 – 16 cycles for a stack parker in 1 kWh

What is the life of your system?

Being a German design our systems are built to last long, but the actual life of the system is determined by the type of system, its usage, and maintenance. Kindly contact the Klaus Trained Personnel for more information.

How safe are these systems to operate?
The systems are absolutely safe to operate, although children are not allowed to operate the system.
We ensure utmost safety precautions while installing the system
We carry out safety checks during our preventive maintenance visits and assure the safety mark
We offer thorough training to the facility management team, valets and the end-user on the do’s and don’ts, operational procedures, etc.

What happens in case of a system failure?

In such cases, you follow all our instructions properly. The system will not face any problem, but in case the system does face a problem, we have provided details of the customer care numbers. All you need to do is call them and they will address your concern.

Do we require trained people to operate the system?

Klaus systems are user-friendly and hence easy and simple to operate. We impart training to all the concerned stakeholders. This hands-on training is sufficient to help you operate the system

What happens in case of a power failure?
In case of power failure, the systems shut down safely, automatically. If your car is on the platform halfway, do not worry - it stays safe there.
Depending on the parking system at your premises, the operation may resume automatically or the system may have to be reset again.
In case of power backup facility, the system may restart by switching on the generator.

How long does it take to retrieve a car?

All efforts are put in to ensure the shortest retrieval time. These times are based on the complexity of the system provided. Kindly contact our trained technical personnel who will assist you at all times.

How much time is required for a repair work to be completed?

Based on the type of repair work whether minor /major with /without material, the time span required for repair work completion varies from few hours to few days

What is the life of the hydraulic oil?

Subject to non-entry of foreign particles, change in environmental conditions, hydraulic oil needs to be inspected after every 5 years for its emulsification and viscosity.

Do you require an annual inspection for safety?

Safety of any machine is of prime importance, and we, at Klaus, insist on regular inspection and upkeep of the systems. We insist on minimum at least 2 checks annually. Our technical team carries a safety-related checkpoint list. During every preventive maintenance visit, these points are given special attention

Is your car parking system covered by insurance?

No. We, at Klaus, do not offer any insurance for the parking system. The customer can check with a third party general insurance provider for further details.

How can we register a concern?

Klaus has a detailed grievance redressal system and a complaint escalation matrix in place.

Customer complaints at the grass root level are taken care of by our trained technical team. Each of our regional offices has a dedicated customer care number where the customer can call and log his/her complaints.
The customer can escalate the call to the service engineer in case he is not satisfied with the response of the technician.
For any complaints that yet stay unresolved, the customer can contact the Manager / Head of Department - Services. All the customer care numbers and email ids of the concerned are pasted on the system provided to you.

Is it a toll-free number?

No these numbers are not toll-free numbers.

Shall we wash the car on the platform?

No, this activity is totally prohibited on the platform. Car parking system is a set of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic components with all structural parts.

Contact with water may damage these parts. There is also a high possibility of corrosion setting in due to water settling into little gaps. This will have a high impact on the safety and smooth operations of the system.

What’s is the frequency of preventive maintenance visit?

Our schedule for the preventive maintenance visit is as follows:

For Stacker System – Quarterly visit
For Puzzle System – Bi-monthly visit
For Automatic System – Monthly visit

What are the working hours/days?

Business working hours 9 AM – 5.30 PM, Monday – Saturday.

Sunday / National holiday closed.

But, we are available 24x7x365 for any uncalled emergency service calls

Shall we park 2 wheelers in the parking system?

No, you cannot park a two-wheeler. A 2-wheeler parking system has a different design. This parking system is strictly meant for 4 wheelers.
